Though it was too late to prevent his mind from falling to tatters, he still does what he does best… survive.Christina the Sun PriestessWhen the Church of Luminance first discovered the abilities granted by the blood rain, they took it as a blessing from the Light, incidentally masking the truth of Dracula’s influence. Christina is one such faithful servant of the church. This cruel disciplinarian takes her continued mastery of Light as evidence that her torturous methods of enforcing her beliefs are a necessary tenet of her faith, and she very much enjoys proving her righteousness.Clive the FirestarterAn unparalleled genius in the explosive arts. Unfortunately for Grayson, this chaotic psychopath is far too useful to get rid of at providing and mixing destructive materials. He’ll burn down his entire camp just to take you with him, laughing all the while.Cyril the Cursed SmithCursed with eternal life and servitude to the Cult of the Damned, Cyril has little desire to perform his duties. However, having been traded to the Cult before he had even been born, this tortured life is all he knows. Resigned to his fate, he does still take some small joy in inflicting his pain on others.Dantos the ForgebinderDantos is a master of weapons, fascinated by both their construction and application. A true obsessive, his borderline inhuman dedication to his craft made him an excellent tool for his Queen, the great witch Megara. After a time, their monstrous similarities brought them closer, and Dantos became her personal strategist as well as a close confidant. Inspired by Megara’s secrets, it was Dantos who discovered that Venom Sap could be used to separate magical alloys, allowing the fusion of powerful artifacts into even greater weapons.Domina the Blade DancerOriginally an engineer responsible for advancements in practical electrical weapons, Domina’s incredible advancements were born of her hands-on, reckless approach to testing. Though this approach led to her demise, she was brought back to life by the maddening machinery of the infamous Doctor Henry Blackbrew. Dracula floods the world with his monstrous Legion of Noctum, having them gather the blood necessary for him to become whole once more and return to Vardoran.Errol the StonebreakerA brutal mining foreman, just as adept at crushing stone as he is crushing bone. Not even his incredible eye for recovering and refining metals was enough to stop him from getting run out of civilised society. His violent rage makes a fine motivator for the miners.Finn the FishermanFinn is a legendary fisherman who hails from the rocky shores of Silverlight Hills. Banished alongside his students, he went on to found The Trancendum and began constructing a society in his image. With the help of a resource he refers to as “Blood Type E” he’s managed to maintain his youth, and keep his twisted pursuit of “progress” alive for well over 800 years.Jade the Vampire HunterA huntress from a noble house in Brighthaven, famous for their development of new-age weaponry that rivals even the genius of the scientists of Gloomrot. After the disappearance of her brother, rumor has it the expert marksman stole an impressive arsenal of experimental weapons to aid in her hunting down the culprit.Jakira the Shadow HuntressJakira was not always a member of the Venom Blades. Like many, she first resisted their onslaught, standing against the great witch Megara and her raiders as they descended upon her homeland and consumed its forests. A master duelist, Jakira always believed in strength, and now she serves the strong with unflinching loyalty. Like many Venom Blades, she’s mixed her skills with their corrupted magic, alchemy, and brutal techniques, always looking for new ways to prove herself and earn her place at her masters' side. Despite her stealthy nature, this cocky huntress always warns her prey just before she strikes.Keely the Frost ArcherA cold-hearted bandit lieutenant, she oversees the animal husbandry and leather tanning camp in Farbane. Once a member of the Dunley militia, she was removed from her position for her brutal battlefield decision-making. Aside from being a crack shot, her enchanted arrows rain down icy death.Kodia the Ferocious BearThis mother bear is said to be ancient. Rumor has it that she wears a scar from every Bandit King that has ever lived, a rite of passage for the position. Her life stands as testament to the fact that no bandit leader has ever done well enough to finish the job.Kriig the Undead GeneralA truly impressive strategic mind in life, Kriig saw an early end for his mistaken faith in his allies. Some say she embraced the dark power of that corruption and made it her own. Today she serves as High Priestess of the Cult of the Damned.Lidia the Chaos ArcherAn adept but undisciplined archer, she lets her arrows fly and trusts that fate knows where to take them, and it works. Lidia is a force of chaos that cannot be contained, and the bandit king is happy to let her do as she likes as long as it benefits him.Lord Styx the Night ChampionA legendary Vampire from the age of Dracula who was reawakened by the call of the Immortal King. As brave as she is naive to the Church’s descent into avarice and gluttony, this holy archer is blinded by the light, focused only on her pursuit of justice at any cost.Morian the Stormwing MatriarchThe most dangerous of her kind, and fiercely protective of her tribe. It’s said that the harpies are attracted to only the finest gemstones, and none has a sharper eye for quality than the matriarch herself. Wealthy folk are warned to keep their jewels out of sight if they dare travel outside the protection of Brighthaven.Nibbles the Putrid RatFarmers try to be diligent in keeping their pest problems under control, as legend says that any place too infested might find themselves visited by Nibbles. No one is quite sure how it gets in, but they know it by the stench of rotting flesh and its carnivorous appetite.Nicholaus the FallenA necromancer driven out of high society in Silverlight for his indulgence in the dark arts. Now he lives among the undead, using his unliving servants to fulfil his needs, as well as bring him back unwilling subjects for his experiments.Octavian the Militia CaptainAn old soldier and a veteran of many battles, Octavian is perhaps the most trusted man in all of Dunley. The militia serves him without question, and he in turn serves them to the best of his ability. Don’t let his age fool you, he’s got plenty of fight left in him.Polora the FeywalkerA powerful psychopomp that taps into mysterious spiritual sources. Polora is one of the only known mortal links to fairy kind and driven to the brink of sanity by her intimate connection to nature. Her dream-like home is alive with unique, enchanted plant life.Quincey the Bandit KingThe ‘King’ of the bandits, once heralded as a hero of the common people in Dunley. His lack of proper reverence for the Church of Luminance saw him driven into Farbane, where his prowess in battle earned the respect of the banditry and, eventually, a place as their champion and king. He may have been a good man, once.Raziel the ShepherdThe head and heart of the Dunley Monastery and a true believer in the Light, Raziel is known for his persuasive sermons and harsh, fire-and-brimstone rhetoric. It is believed that his holy power is granted by his incredible righteousness, largely because he keeps saying so.Rufus the ForemanA lieutenant of the bandit forces charged with looking over the logging camp. Just because he’s an expert woodworker doesn’t mean he doesn’t know his way around a crossbow, though. He didn’t rise up in the bandit ranks for nothing.Simon Belmont the Vampire HunterThis mysterious Vampire hunter has arrived from lands unknown on a fervent mission to cut down anything that they might deem a threat to mankind. Monster and Vampire alike will find themselves the target of this stranger’s ire, and even worse, on the wrong end of the exotic stranger’s unique battle whip… an intriguing new tool of war.Sir Erwin the Gallant CavalierSir Erwin is an expert horseman, known both for his skill on horseback and unbearable company at formal events. He is willing to look past the vile actions of the church, and even enforce them if it’s in the interest of what he believes is the greater good. Even if it means doing something he might never condone, such as forced labor, or exiling his beloved daughter.Solarus the ImmaculateA legendary paladin of the Light and the oldest living member of the Church of Luminance. He has watched firsthand the descent of mankind with disinterest. A pioneer from the age of heroes, he remembers the struggle of facing down Dracula’s armies until all hope was lost. He remembers finding the light... He remembers the satisfaction of lifting his holy blade to the Immortal King, and striking down the greatest evil the world has ever seen.

From carving the trees with runes of corruption to harvesting the Venom Sap those trees produce, he works with a cold glee. Whether it be bark or flesh, every cut of his knife is a show of his devotion to the great witch Megara. Like any Venom Blade, he loves and fears his queen in equal measure, revering her as a goddess and looking to her for higher purpose.Talzur the Winged HorrorA creature that was once one of Dracula’s favorite pets. The monster mourned the death of its master in a blood-soaked vigil, enduring the toxic, bloody rains that followed Dracula’s death for seven days and seven nights. Unlike the many creatures that suffered under the rains, this one embraced the agony. Through its love and devotion for the tyrant king, it was able to embrace all of the hatred passed down through the downpour’s curse and become The Winged Horror.Terah the GeomancerThe result of a long line of earth speakers, Terah resides up in the solitude of the mountains among sparkling gem veins and rugged boulders. Despite her stoic appearance and demeanour, communing with the spirits of nature has driven her quite insane.Terrorclaw the OgreA creature whose story has long since been lost to the ages, though not without resemblance to some few legendary creatures that were once men. One cannot help but wonder what strange corruption has taken root in Vardoran.Tristan the Vampire HunterA cold-blooded killer, and the scion of a long line of vampire hunters. Few are as prepared to face the rising tide of the vampire threat as Tristan, and his drive to exterminate the last of the unholy threat is second to none.Ungora the Spider QueenA massive spider of legendary age and progeny. The Spider Queen resides in the twisted, web-woven depths of Cursed Forest’s winding caverns. No living creature save for her children has ever entered and lived to tell the tale.
